FarmVille welcomed a new Limited Edition Fairy Garden theme tonight which also introduced two new Horses.
There is a brand new Fairy Horse and adorable Mini Purple Unicorn along with another horse that we suspect some players (and rightly so) will not be too happy about receiving this unexpected slap in the face- the Vineyard Horse. More on that later. The show stopping Fairy Horse is a a breedable horse that will produce a similar type Foal, the Fairy Foal, when placed into your FarmVille Horse Stables. However, the Mini Purple Unicorn, like other FarmVille unicorns, is not breedable and currently does not have a similar type offspring. Currently the Mini Purple Unicorn is experiencing some technical issues. For one it’s market icon displays it as invisible and if you’ve still purchased it despite not being able to see it, it will appear invisible on your farm as well. Zynga usually fixes glitches like this in a timely so no need to fret. For a limited amount of time these LE Horses are being offered at discounted rates at 20 and 30 Farm Cash.
On the Vineyard Horse Scandal
Remember a few weeks ago when FarmVille updated the Mystery Game to feature an exclusive Bonus Prize for playing and receiving all six regular featured prizes? (Reference FarmVille Freak article here.)Well, that exclusivity didn’t last too long as you can now directly purchase the Vineyard Horse for 30 Farm Cash. We know that some of you, particularly FarmVille Freak Horse Breeders and Horse enthusiasts spent lots of Farm Cash just to get that Vineyard Horse which you can now buy for a mere 30 Farm Cash. While 30 FV$ may still sound like a lot, it’s not when compared to those of ou who have already spent 120+ FV$ to get the same horse.
While it was a nice idea for Zynga to reward players who spend Farm Cash on the Mystery Game, we were disappointed in the new bonus prize feature because we knew that many players would have to spend lots of money to get whatever coveted bonus prize was being offered, especially when its animals such as Horses that tend to pull on the heart strings of FarmVille Horse breeders. Because of those players, we think it’s terrible that this exclusive bonus item is now available as a direct purchase. Remember to play the Mystery Game with caution and although FarmVille doesn’t have a disclaimer about situations like this- all is fair in love and FarmVille. Anything can happen!
