1) There are two types of Seedlings. Now in the game they are not identified as such, they all go by the name “Mystery Seedling” But in reality there should be two types, we call them by the unofficial terms Type A And Type B.
2) Type A Seedlings are the ones grown from your own orchards that you keep. IE You harvest a 20 Cotton Candy Orchard, and get a seedling, the one you keep when placed and watered will be a Gumball Tree.
3) Type B Seedlings are the Fun ones! These are the ones you get from the feed, they are completely random. They can be any tree that’s in the Seedling pool. And these seedlings do not have a tree assigned to them until they are placed on the farm.
4) People have made up rumors such as “the first seedling will be a Special tree” Before I go any further.. What in the blue blazes is a “Special Tree”. All Level 2 Trees are Equal. None are more “special” than others, unless “special” means “fantasy/New” which that’s still false.
5) “All my seedlings are what I say they are!, you have to space the orchards apart” There is SOOO much wrong with this statement. a) If all seedlings posted to the feed end up being their parent tree, how do the new trees show up in the Type B seedlings sometimes 3 or 4 days before the Level 1 tree comes out? b) Why would you need to have orchards spaced apart, is this so the roots do not touch? This is insanity.
So in Conclusion, myself and dozens of other farmers have tested Orchards and seedlings to the point we always have the new tree within a few minutes of it being added to the seedling pool, which requires the Random Type B Seedlings from the Feed. Some people will Swear that *Every Seedling* they post is Exactly what they say it will be. But from myself and a bunch of other farmers growing experience, we end up with disappointment more often than the labeled tree. It has happened someone will post a seedling that’s labeled as a “Caramel Apple” or whatever, and the one of the seedlings will be a Big Caramel, but other times its results in a Granny Smith Apple. Its All Random.
If you have any tree questions leave them as comments.
But In short more often than not, Labeled Seedlings are Not what they are labeled as, and its discouraging to some farmers. Also Each Type B Seedling are different for each clicker. And if one stockpiles Type B Seedlings in their box, then places them after a new tree is added, they will have a good chance of placing a seedling for a tree that wasn’t even in the game at the time they grabbed the seedling.
